Boxing is depicted in a comical manner in Black & Bruised, which features a total of 18 different boxers, each with their own distinct personality and approach to the sport. There are a total of five different modes, including multi-player, exhibition, and a story mode that is conveyed with CG and follows the life story of each boxer. In this boxing game, each fighter has their own unique special attack, and players can pick up power-ups to utilize during fights. There are thirty distinct face expressions for each boxer, and they respond to blows and misses in a manner that gives them the appearance of being alive.
